NCDC Congratulates Member on Becoming a New Certified Fund Raising Executive!

Becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) signals commitment, competence, and credibility. To become a CFRE, fundraising professionals must document their professional performance, education, and professional practice as well as pass the CFRE exam.

We are proud to recognize Renee Brueckner, CFRE of the Association of the Miraculous Medal (Perryville, MO) for her accomplishment of becoming a CFRE during the second CFRE testing window of 2018.

We congratulate her on this career-defining achievement and for committing to uphold the highest standards in our profession.

CFRE candidates, mark your calendars and work to complete your application by the 15 July application deadline!

Whether your application for initial certification is already complete and just needs to be submitted, or you need to login to your application and add your most recent continuing education, professional experience, or professional practice accomplishments – plan to complete it by the upcoming deadline.

If you plan on taking the CFRE exam, let them know you are a member of NCDC so they notify us when you pass! If you already are a CFRE, be sure to include it in your NCDC profile!

GDPR Chat: What is your Organization Doing?

We've had a number of members ask about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), EU legislation to protect data, that went into effect on May 25. You can read more about GDPR on our blog.

Without a doubt, this regulation affects every nonprofit and business worldwide, even if they are not EU-based.

We thought it might be helpful for our community to discuss what they have done in preparation, and now that the rules are in effect.

Our new online forum allows members a space to discuss issues like this and share amongst our community. Log in using your NCDC user name and password.

Affinity Groups Connect NCDC Members

NCDC offers a variety of special interest groups for members to connect with similar organizations. The groups are created as specialized member needs arise. They are created through the National office, but often function independently. Members of affinity groups can email the group to discuss challenges or pose questions to other groups in similar situations.

The Large Volume Mailers, a “think tank” for nonprofit organizations and staffs of groups who are large-mailers, will meet this spring and at the annual conference.

The Hispanic Outreach, Planned Giving, and Small Shops groups will meet this fall at the annual conference.

To join one of these affinity groups, you may request to join online. If you are interested in starting a new special interest group or for more information on an existing group, contact Sr. Georgette Lehmuth.
